2025 Volunteer and Pool Prep Opportunities

We are recruiting for the following pool prep and volunteer opportunities! Please sign up - or check back for new opportunities throughout the summer. Preseason Pool Prep 2025

All Full (Pool) member families beyond Year 1 of membership are requested to participate in pool prep. You can either join us on a pool prep evening, or if you can’t make it, sign up for a different pool prep option below. Only one member of each household needs to help.

  • Annual Pool Scrub, May 5 and 6: Our annual pool scrub will be held on the evenings of Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6 from 5:30-7:30pm. Select your evening and Sign up here!

  • Epoxy Pool Skimmmers: This task should be done between May 1 and May 7, before the pool is filled up to the skimmers. This job is to fill cracks in the pool skimmers with epoxy to ensure a water tight seal. Sign up here!

  • Help Fill the Pool: Work with the Pool Facility Chair and a small group to help fill the pool. Involves up the 3 brief visits to COPOCO between May 6 and 9th. Sign up here!

  • Pool Skimming and Vacuuming, May 8-23rd: Spend an hour or two skimming the pool and set our robotic vacuum on the loose. It can be done on your own time on the particular day. Vacuum instructions will be provided. Sign up here!

Volunteer Tasks 2025

All Full and Tennis-only members are also requested to participate in 2 hours of volunteer work per season.

Committee Positions

Our committees are recruiting! Work with a group to maintain and improve our our facilities, programs and personnel.

Volunteer & Grounds Chair: Take a lead in making our grounds look even better! We are looking for a Volunteer & Grounds chair to work with the Board and other committee leads to recruit volunteers for work needed, and oversee volunteers and contractors on grounds-related work in particular. (Other committee leads coordinate volunteers and contractors in their area). Keep our volunteer sign-up up to date as well as content for the related volunteer web page, and oversee occasional volunteer work days and ground related volunteer projects. This role comes with a partial discount on membership and you will be an active member of the COPOCO leadership team! Express interest by signing up here, and we’ll be in touch!

Membership Committee: Work with our Membership Committee Chair to help increase club membership, including corresponding with prospective members, giving tours, and welcoming new members. Sign up here!

Pool Facility Committee: Help keep our pool running great! If you're interested in learning how our pool works and are mechanically-minded or just want to help out, this could be a role for you.  Work with our very knowledgeable Pool Facility Chair and Pool Manager to help out on pool-related maintenance and upgrades. The bulk of the work is likely to occur in the pre-season or post season, leaving you to enjoy the open pool to its fullest. Sign up here!

Tennis Facility Committee: Work with our Tennis Facility Chair to implement tennis court related maintenance and improvements. Sign up here!

Capital Campaign Event Committee: Help us to plan a night of food, drink, music, and revelry at COPOCO to benefit our Capital Campaign.  The board has done research on vendors and we can purchase an event tent - we just need help implementing! Suggested dates: the week of July 7 or July 14. Sign up here!

Tennis Social Committee: Help plan social events at the courts! Sign up here!

Camp Committee: If you are a teacher and interested in the possibility of leading camp in a future year, this role could be for you. Discuss camp planning with Ryan and help out as available. Sign up here!

Swim Team Coordinator: Help coordinate swim team, including liaising with the swim coach, administration and the team. Help coordinate private lessons along with Pool Personnel Chair and Club Manager. Sign up here!



Pre-Season Work and Special Projects

Spring Cleanup, May 10, 9-11 am: Work with a group to get COPOCO ready for the season. Sign up here!

Powerwash and Stain Building, May 1-23rd: Work with a group to powerwash and stain our building. Sign up here!

Reset Drainage Stones on Pool Deck, May 1-23rd: There is a drainage area of small stones under the gutter on of the awning over the pool deck. These stones need to be dug up and relaid so they can do their job. Talk with our Club Manager and Building Chair if interested to come up with a plan and order materials. Sign up here!

Remove Debris from Tennis Courts, May 1-9: Remove sticks and stones from tennis courts after they firm up but prior to May 10. Sign up here!



Social Events

Lead a Social Event! We have an active social calendar and just need member help to make it happen. Social event signups for 2025 are Coming Soon! To inquire about leading an event before that, please contact Audrey, our Social Chair.
