General Rules and Regulations
The privileges of the swimming pool, tennis courts, and grounds are to be enjoyed by the members and their guests. All members and guests of the pool and tennis courts are required to sign in upon arrival.
Parents/caregivers are ultimately responsible for the behavior of their children and guests at all times.
Members are expected to maintain cleanliness by picking up their trash, to use the trash receptacles and cooperate in maintaining the grounds. The lids to the receptacles should be on at all times.
Dogs or other animals are not permitted on the grounds.
A lost and found is provided on the pool deck. Any items left lying around will be placed there. All items will be donated every two weeks.
The outdoor shower should be used to wash off sand from the sand box and volleyball areas. Please do not use the indoor showers for this.
Children 11 years or older, at the discretion of their parent, are permitted to be left alone at COPOCO provided the child has passed the deep end test and parents have signed the drop-off waiver. The parent is responsible for their children at all times, regardless if they are present or not. The lifeguards will monitor the safety of all children within the pool area; they are not responsible for children throughout the general grounds and the tennis area. The Board and lifeguards reserve the right to revoke the privilege if they see cause.
Please refer to pool and tennis court rules for guidelines specific to those facilities.
COPOCO Guest Policy
The guest policy is in effect anytime you bring a guest on COPOCO property.
A guest is defined as anyone who is not part of a COPOCO member household and included on the membership.
Guests are visitors to COPOCO and must sign a waiver.
Members must sign in guests at every visit. Sign-in is available here.
There are a few categories of guests: those subject to visit limits and guest fees and those who are not.
Nannies, babysitters, and family members who are caring for member children are not subject to visit limits or guest fees. Likewise, visitors who are not eligible for COPOCO membership as they live too far away per our bylaws are considered guests but are not subject to visit limits or guest fees.
All other guests not described as exempt above are subject to visit limits and/or fees. Each guest is limited to 5 visits per season, regardless of age. Guests ages 16 and up are subject to fees of $10 per person, per visit. (Go to Guest Fees for information on how to submit payment). Fees apply to any point during the season when the pool and/or tennis courts are open (May through October).
Member children eligible for drop-off may invite up to one non-member guest at a time age 12 or older for drop-off, provided they have both passed the deep end test and their parents have signed the appropriate drop-off and guest waivers. These guest visits are subject to the guest visit limit and fee as described in #6. We have a zero tolerance policy for bad behavior.
Guests may take up to one class of each variety at COPOCO (e.g., one tennis, one swim). If the class has a special fee, they must pay the class and guest fee. Guests may not register for camp except with special permission from the board.
If you have special circumstances, please send an email to copococlub@gmail.com describing your appeal and a board member will get back to you.
Guests who enjoy COPOCO are invited to join, and may apply online.
